Las Vegas Aces ~ Michael Harvath |

(2007) Hello everyone. I was born in a log cabin in Kentucky on Feb. 12, 1809. As a small child, I used to walk 5 miles to and from school (uphill both ways) through the snow everyday. After spending my teenage years helping my uncle run his small farm on Tatooine, I decided on a career as a wizard (see photo). With my familiar at my side (a frog I turned into a small pirate), I determined to see how quickly I could run a virtual football team into the ground. Sticking to my strategy of making sure to never have a functioning quarterback, I exceeded my own expectations by having losing records 3 of my 4 years and going 1-15 last year! For a switch, I have now embarked on a plan to have every starting QB in the league on my team. Currently, I have 3 starters from NFL teams, so 3 down, only 29 to go. What no one knows is that on the side I have been running the Roswell Visitors under the alias Matt Kraemer (who in reality does not exist). Having discovered a bug in the new Action program that lets me read your personal financial information through the internet connection maintained to play our games, I can truthfully say that I both look forward to playing everyone here in the new season, and expect a sharp upturn in my own finances over the next 6 months. |
Or maybe I just dreamed all that. Maybe I am just a 44 year old community college economics professor living in Bakersfield with my long-suffering wife Leslie of 9 years and my beautiful 2-year-old daughter Michelle, adopted from China last year, and seen in the photo enjoying her first American Halloween. Nah, I’m pretty sure all that stuff actually happened. |

Commish Notes: Mike took over the Aces in 2003 and has led them to one playoff appearance (2005) before quickly returning to Earth last season with a 1 - 15 record. The Aces look to return to their winning ways of '05 as quickly as possible. Michael currently has a 16 - 48 record. 1998 season UFL Champions |

Miami Storm ~ Kevin Mahan |

(2007) The Miami Storm return to action in 2007 struggling to keep the franchise afloat. Miami peaked with a 6-10 record two years ago, before falling back to a dismal 4-12 last season. Fans in Miami are wondering if GM Kevin Mahan has truly made an effort to build a playoff franchise. Ownership has threatend to pull up stakes and head out west if stadium issues cannot be resolved. As for the roster it clearly lacks any playoff calibur players. Miami is hoping Alex Smith can take the reigns from a struggling Jake Plummer. Anything above a 6 win season will prove to be a surprise for the Storm in the UFL in 2007. If the franchise does relocate in 2008, contenders for relocation are the following cities: Reno, NV; Clovis, CA; and Ketchikan, AK. Storm Owner and GM Kevin Mahan lives in California and is currently the Chief Photographer at the NBC affiliate in Fresno. He is married and is the proud father of one cat. |
| Commish Notes: Kevin signed on in 2003 and has struggled to build some momentum toward a winning season. Miami will be looking for a much better '07 campain. Kevin has an overall record of 19 - 45 | |
Peninsula Ronin ~ Hiroshi Hishida |

I have been a member of the UFL since 2003. It was a humbling experience coming in as an expansion team. They say that any team can win on a given Sunday, but as an expansion team I quickly learned how unlikely it can be. Slowly but surely, my team became a little bit more solid. This year, the 2003 expansion teams have made a full cycle on free agency. We are losing the players that we signed up in 2003 (the Brett Favre era is coming to an end). The Roswell Visitors and the Yukon Jacks are my chief rivals. Roswell is the big brother that I hope to beat one of these days. Yukon is the little brother that I would be embarrassed to ever lose to. The UFL is the only fantasy football league that I am in. My friends and coworkers don't understand why I don't want to take part in their leagues. I just don't want to root against any of my players. I live in the San Francisco Peninsula. I am a wholesale account manager at GreenPoint Mortgage. This year marked my 10 year anniversary with the company. I am tightening my belt for the impending turbulence. I am married to my wonderful wife, Akiko, and we have a six year old son. He just graduated from Kindergarten. He loves school. He loves it so much he is disappointed to ever miss school for any reason (I wonder how long that will last). |
I am a huge Oregon Duck Football and Basketball fan. I love the passion that the College game draws. My newest hobby is editing boring home videos on the computer. Good luck to everyone this year and here's to another great season. |
|
| Commish Notes: Another 2003 expansion coach, Hiroshi has done well leading his team to two consecutive playoff appearances, but still cannot get around the buzzsaw that is the Visitors. Hiroshi has put together a very respectable record of 34 - 30. | |
Roswell Visitors ~ Matt Kreamer |

(2007) I'm Matt, owner of the Roswell Visitors, the fiercest team in the UFL kingdom. I've been in the league for a decade now and, thanks to teams such as the Yukon Jacks and Miami Storm in my division, I'm pretty much guaranteed a winning record every year. I'm going after my fifth ring this year. I'm an NFL (specifically Chicago Bears) addict, as most of you know. My other hobbies include playing sports and poker, antagonizing my dogs, and trying to decipher Tim Tarnosky's e-mails. After spending the first 30 years of my life in California, I moved last fall with my wife to Seattle, where I work as a newspaper editor. Good luck to everyone in the coming season. It figures to be a ferocious fight for second place. |
Commish Notes: Easily the most dominant owner in the UFL. With a 4 - 1 record in the CHAMPIONSHIP games, two 16 - 0 seasons, and one perfect 19 - 0 season with playoffs included, Matt is by far the best coach/GM in the league. Not only the only coach to repeat for the title, Matt has done it twice. Matt boasts a remarkable 116 - 28 record, and seven consecutive division titles. 2001 season UFL Champions |

Yukon Jacks ~ Jim Davis |

(2007) I'm an editor at a newspaper in Everett, Wash., just north of Seattle. I've been married for four years to a wonderfully patient wife (she sometimes reads over my shoulder so I need to be nice) and we have a great kid who is 2-years-old ("Names Matt" as he likes to say.) I've been in the league since 2003 and somehow got stuck in the same division as the Roswell Visitors. (I don't like that.) My aim has been low for the first few years, because I wanted to build through the draft. Now I feel that many of my pieces are in order and I hope the window is opening for me. I expect a winning season this year and hopefully a playoff spot -- something tough with Roswell and the Peninsula Ronin both in my division. I'm a Detroit Lions fan although it's been tough to watch them for the past year or so. (OK, they've never been really easy to watch.) And I'm also becoming an Arizona Cardinals fan, because so many of my Yukon Jacks are Cardinals. (And I wonder why my franchise has a losing record. |
I've been patiently waiting for the day that Roswell Visitors have losing record (stop trading with him). I always figured that would be the day that Peyton Manning gets injured or retires. Now I'm worried that when Manning retires, the Ronin's Phillip Rivers will be in his prime. Anyhow good luck to all the teams and I hope all the owners have a good year. |

| Commish Notes: Jim was another expansion owner from the 2003 season. Unlike his division rival, he's had a little bit of a tougher road. Still looking for their first playoff appearance in the upcoming season. Jim holds a 19 - 45 record. | |
